MagniCursor is not yet publicly distributed. The website editor connects to a locally installed MagniCursor extension. The current editor does not offer cloud sharing.
Current website
This website does not provide user accounts, upload recordings, or set advertising cookies. Its editor stores drafts, imported images, and completed exports in browser storage on this device. The early-access link opens your email application; any message you send is handled by your email provider and ours.
We may add privacy-focused aggregate analytics before launch. If we do, this page will identify the provider and the data collected before that analytics code is enabled.
Extension privacy requirements
The extension processes recordings and captured browser actions locally by default. Its release must follow these data-minimization rules:
- Record only a browser session the user explicitly starts.
- Exclude passwords and sensitive input values.
- Capture limited element context needed to explain an action, not complete page HTML.
- Let the user inspect and remove captured steps before export.
- Request only the browser permissions required by shipped features.
During a recording, the extension saves the recorded page's domain and a local copy of its site icon for the minimal browser frame. It also records supported Ctrl, Alt, or Command/Windows key combinations to create editable shortcut captions. It does not save full page addresses or text typed into forms, and excludes shortcut events in password, payment, and one-time-code fields. These details stay with the recording on this device.
Remote processing
The extension keeps original screen and camera recordings and captured interaction events in its own local browser storage. The editor reads the selected recording through a connection to that extension and performs editing and encoding on this device. This workflow does not send recording media to a server or use a cloud processing service.
Sensitive pages and values
The product must not collect password values, authentication tokens, cookies, payment details, or hidden page content. Users remain responsible for avoiding confidential visual information in a screen recording.
Retention and deletion
The extension and website use separate local storage. Deleting an original recording in the extension does not remove website drafts or completed exports; saved exports can still be downloaded, while further editing requires the original recording. Clearing site data removes the website copy of drafts, images, and exports. Removing the extension can remove its originals. Browser storage is not a backup: download any videos you want to keep.
